2027: Delta South APC Reaffirms Support for Tinubu, Oborevwori, Joel-Onowakpo, Others

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta South Senatorial District has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and other party candidates, pledging to mobilize for a decisive victory in the 2027 general election. At a recent mega meeting held in Warri, party elders and leaders resolved to close ranks, reconcile any disgruntled members, and reinforce the party's grassroots structures throughout the senatorial district.

Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, representing Delta South, emphasized the collective responsibility to deliver victory for the party and its candidates by returning to wards, units, and communities to mobilize voters and convert support into votes. He urged party members to build on the achievements of the Tinubu administration and the Oborevwori-led Delta State Government to strengthen their mobilization efforts.

Additionally, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, highlighted the changing political landscape in Delta South, with youths and leaders across ethnic nationalities demonstrating renewed commitment to the electoral process. He challenged party members to ensure all 87 wards in Delta South deliver massively for the APC.

The state Chairman of the APC, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, stressed the party's determination to reclaim its historical political strength in Delta South, recalling the district's past as a major political force since 1989. Arenyeka called for unity among leaders and stakeholders and intensified mobilization efforts across various parts of the district.

In his welcoming remarks, the Delta South APC Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba, emphasized the importance of reconciliation and unity after the primaries, urging members to put aside grievances and utilize internal dispute-resolution mechanisms. He also encouraged candidates to reach out to those who contested against them, fostering inclusivity in campaign structures.

The meeting attracted several prominent APC leaders, including Senator Stella Omu, Senator James Manager, and the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hon. Funkekeme Solomon. They stressed that unity, reconciliation, grassroots mobilization, and effective communication of the achievements of the APC-led governments would be central to the party's campaign.
