2027: Bishops endorsing Tinubu are hungry, not acting on divine orders – Primate Ayodele

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has stated that Nigerian bishops endorsing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term are motivated by hunger rather than divine orders. In a statement, Ayodele criticized the bishops, suggesting that their endorsement was based on selfish interests and a desire for self-gain rather than genuine support for the president.

He warned the president not to be overly enthusiastic about the endorsements, describing them as false. Ayodele emphasized that the bishops were seeking to secure their own future by aligning with the president, rather than acting out of love or a sense of divine guidance. He also cautioned that politicians endorsing Tinubu for a second term were similarly motivated by self-interest, and warned that if the president fails to meet their expectations, they would turn against him.

Ayodele urged Tinubu not to rely on the endorsements, arguing that they would not be enough to secure a second term. He stated that the president's performance in office would be the determining factor in whether he secures a second term or not.
