Yoto upgrades screen-free speaker to give kids even more control

Yoto has revamped its popular screen-free speakers, the Yoto Player and Yoto Mini, to grant children more autonomy over their audio content. The updated 4th generation devices feature a new, customizable Green Button on their sides, allowing kids to play their preferred content without the need for a physical Yoto Card. This convenient addition will prove invaluable during family trips when cards may be misplaced.

The Green Button can be programmed via the Yoto App to play up to 20 pieces of content, sourced from physical cards, digital versions, or other app-based audio. Despite this new feature, Yoto emphasizes that cards remain the core of their system, serving as the primary means of engaging with the speakers. Apart from the Green Button, the 4th generation speakers offer enhanced functionality, automatically adjusting content based on the time of day.

This feature ensures a smooth transition between sleep sounds, digital clocks, and night lights, aiding in maintaining family schedules. Additionally, the storage capacity has been doubled from 32GB to a substantial 64GB, providing ample room for over 1000 hours of audio, equivalent to more than 40 days of listening. These improved models are set to pre-order from September 11.
