Yankees Manager Admits Aaron Judge Got Mad at Him for Surprising Decision

New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone made light of the fact that star player Aaron Judge was upset with him after one of his in-game decisions during the team's recent 5-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies. While chatting with reporters, Boone revealed that Judge was unhappy with Boone for removing him from the game before the seventh inning.

He quipped that Judge is not thrilled with me for taking him out, laughing at the situation. It's completely understandable that Judge wanted to stay in the game, as it was his first appearance on the field in over three months. At 34 years old, the slugger's initial game back raised expectations, and it makes sense that he desired to play the entire contest.

However, Boone also recognized the need to play cautiously with Judge during his return. Judge's comeback to the Yankees lineup was not ideal, as he went 0-for-3 at the plate with two strikeouts. Nevertheless, considering the extensive time away from the game, it's reasonable to assume he may have some rust to work off. Nonetheless, it will be intriguing to witness Judge's performance in his second game back in New York's lineup.
