Will GTA 6 be on Xbox Game Pass at launch?

Grand Theft Auto VI, also known as GTA 6, is set to launch soon, but there's a catch for Xbox Game Pass subscribers and PC gamers. The eagerly anticipated game will not be included in the Xbox Game Pass library at its launch. The same applies to PC players, meaning they'll need to purchase the game outright if they wish to play it.

While it's possible that GTA 6 might eventually be added to Xbox Game Pass, there's no guarantee, and even if it does, it could take some time. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass will implement strict monthly limits on cloud gaming in November, just as GTA 6 is released. As GTA 6's developer, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two, has stated, they're skeptical about making frontline console products available day and date with subscription services, as it doesn't align economically with their business model.

The studio has previously included its previous game, GTA 5, in Xbox Game Pass multiple times, but it took several years for GTA 5 to be added. So, unless you're prepared to buy the game outright, you'll have to wait and see if GTA 6 makes it to Xbox Game Pass in the future.
