Why I rejected political offers that could have made me billionaire – Omotola Jalade

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has disclosed that she turned down numerous lucrative offers, potentially worth billions, including those related to politics, because she refused to compromise her principles. On the Afropolitan podcast, Jalade-Ekeinde revealed she thought accepting the offers could undermine the foundation of what she stood for.

She acknowledged that some of the offers weren't inherently bad, but she still declined them to maintain her integrity. Jalade-Ekeinde noted that she had been in situations where she could have easily become a billionaire without anyone suspecting her actions. However, she repeatedly walked away from these opportunities, stating, "Many times, I could have compromised my stance and got paid handsomely for it.

But I said, 'No.'" She explained that while these situations weren't necessarily bad, they could ultimately erode her core beliefs. Jalade-Ekeinde also admitted that she often feels a "financial miracle" when she misses out on significant financial chances due to her refusal to accept such offers.
