Indore, Madhya Pradesh experienced an influx of devotees at the Khade Hanuman Temple amidst a controversy over the idol's possible relocation. Over 12,000 people visited the temple on Wednesday and Thursday alone. The Sati Gate Hanuman Temple is under heavy security as the administration denies attempting to remove the idol. An IIT Indore team will scan the idol to determine its depth before officials decide on future actions.

Visitors are arriving from various states, including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. The temple has seen a surge in visitors due to circulated videos and claims about the idol's safety. Most structures around the shrine have been demolished, but the idol remains in place under a temporary tent. Police have set up barricades and personnel to control the crowds.

Local residents say they have never seen such long queues at the shrine. The Ujjain district administration denies any attempt to displace the idol manually or with machinery, emphasizing devotees' sentiments, safety, and Ujjain's religious heritage as their top priorities. However, some devotees claim video evidence of digging and cutting equipment near the idol, fueling the Ujjain temple relocation row.

Several Congress MLAs and saints visited the temple, reciting the Hanuman Chalisa and opposing the relocation.
