Two feared dead, several injured as trailer crashes into vehicles at Krofrom

A multiple-vehicle accident occurred at Krofrom in Kumasi, resulting in two feared fatalities and several injuries. The incident took place on the Krofrom–Moro Market road when a fully loaded DAF trailer experienced brake failure. Eyewitnesses reported the trailer descending the steep incline and losing control. A "Pragyia" tricycle and multiple vehicles were struck by the crashing trailer.

Eyewitness TK stated that the tricycle was unable to escape the impact and was dragged to the gutter. Additional vehicles collided with nearby shops during the collision. Several individuals were injured, and emergency services rushed to the scene to rescue trapped victims and manage the situation. Concerns have been raised regarding the trailer's worn-out tires, leading to questions about the vehicle being permitted to operate on the road in such condition.

While the identities of the deceased and injured remain unconfirmed, investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the accident. Emergency personnel, including the Police and Ghana National Fire Service, were on the scene to assist with rescue operations and restore order.
