Singapore man gets court protection order after wife sends AI-generated sex images of him and sister

A Singapore man received a court protection order after his wife sent him AI-generated sex images involving himself and his sister, the family court ruled. Magistrate Soh Kian Peng found the wife's actions constituted family violence, causing the man emotional and psychological distress. The husband's relationship with his sister was strained, and his wife had a contentious history with her sister-in-law.

The dispute started when the husband contributed $100,000 to his father's medical bills and later transferred $65,000 to his sister. The wife responded with offensive messages, while the husband endured torment and distress. The court reviewed 90 pages of screenshots displaying the wife's messages along with explicit AI-generated images and videos.

The wife admitted to using a free application to create the obscene material. The husband's weight dropped significantly due to the abuse. The magistrate concluded that the husband met the criteria for a protection order, as his wife had committed family violence and the court needed to ensure his protection and safety. The wife ceased sending such messages after the husband sought the order, but continued abuse was a significant risk.

The dispute with the sister-in-law remains unresolved, and it's not feasible to expect the husband to sever all contact with his sister to avoid conflict with his wife. Although the wife may have had her own grievances, she lacked a healthy outlet for her emotions. In addition to the protection order, the magistrate ordered the couple to attend counseling, and a preliminary assessment report on the wife was initiated, considering potential mandatory psychiatric treatment due to previous admissions to the Institute of Mental Health.
