Singapore golfer Shannon Tan eyes LPGA Tour card for 2027 season

Singapore golfer Shannon Tan aims to secure a spot on the LPGA Tour for the upcoming 2027 season, amid an impressive 2026 campaign. Tan, who made a career-best Major finish at the Women's British Open, is currently tallying up top-10 performances on the Ladies European Tour (LET). In September, she revealed her goals for the remainder of the year, stating that her entry into the LPGA Tour will hinge on her performance at the LPGA Qualifying Series (Q-Series) later in November.

The top 25 finishers at the Q-Series final qualifying stage qualify for the following season. Tan had previously reached this stage in 2024 and 2025, but failed to make the cut in the top 25. She has previously been the first Singaporean golfer to compete at the Olympic Games. Tan attributes her success to meticulous attention to detail, consistent improvement, and a focus on grinding out results.

As she prepares for her LPGA debut, Tan has noted her growing experience reduces nerves during major tournaments. The support she receives from her home country in Singapore fuels her drive to excel and inspire future generations of golfers.
