Dubai: In his new book "The Messages", Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum pays a deeply personal tribute to his wife, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. The book, the second part of "Lessons from Life", reflects on their marriage of 47 years, highlighting the love, sacrifice and shared memories that have defined their life together.

Describing Sheikha Hind as his "companion on life's journey", Sheikh Mohammed writes that she is his greatest achievement, most beautiful memory and sweetest moment. He refers to her as the "pillar of his home and my whole life", the "quiet strength with which I face the world" and the "source of home, security and reassurance".

Sheikh Mohammed praises Sheikha Hind for her role in raising their children, calling her their first school, first teacher and first role model. He notes that his children carry the imprint of her words, heart and love, translating into humility, compassion and devotion.

The book also highlights Sheikha Hind's charitable work, emphasising that she has given selflessly for 47 years, often unseen by others. Sheikh Mohammed says their journey together has taught him that a wife is not just a partner, but the foundation of every family.

The true legacy of the couple, he says, lies not in physical structures, but in the values instilled in their children. He encourages Sheikha Hind to continue guiding their grandchildren, sharing stories of their heritage, the importance of their homeland, and the need to look out for one another.
