Seoul pitches innovation, talent to global investors in London

Seoul is showcasing its appeal to global investors as a city that excels in technology testing, industry connections, and a skilled workforce. On Tuesday in London, Seoul Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs Park Chan-gu detailed the city's investment landscape and competitiveness at the "Invest K-Finance: London IR 2026" event. The gathering, attended by representatives from 22 international investment banks and asset management firms such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, was organized by the Financial Supervisory Service in collaboration with the Seoul city government, the National Pension Service, and major financial institutions.

Approximately 40 senior executives participated in discussions with Korean officials and financial leaders. Park emphasized three key strengths of Seoul: its position as a rapid test environment, its industrial ecosystem tied to global corporations, and its abundant human capital. He also pointed out Seoul's substantial consumer base and high digital adoption rates, which enable companies to evaluate new products and services in actual market conditions.
