This integration provides chartering, broker, commercial, and legal teams with immediate access to the latest BIMCO clauses and tools to identify any deviations from recognized industry standards before agreements are finalized.

Sea customers have previously worked with BIMCO clauses and contracts, and this partnership takes it further by integrating BIMCO’s standard clauses within Sea’s enhanced clause library, with updates delivered automatically through an API. This ensures customers have a continuously maintained source of truth based on the same clause data managed by BIMCO.

Charter parties can now be compared directly against the latest BIMCO standard, highlighting any differences in wording due to unintended changes, outdated versions, or deliberate amendments during negotiation, for review before the contract is agreed upon. Through this partnership, BIMCO’s standard clauses are now available directly within Sea’s contract workflow, reducing the time required to maintain in-house clause libraries.

Commercial and legal teams benefit from risk mitigation and quality control over contractual deviations, enabling them to focus on what matters most. Automatic updates to BIMCO’s recognized clauses are also provided, minimizing manual maintenance and version-control challenges.
