Ryan Giggs believes United already have the next Wayne Rooney in their ranks

Ryan Giggs, a former Manchester United legend, believes that the club already possesses the next Wayne Rooney in their ranks. Giggs, who earned his senior debut as a 17-year-old, is familiar with breaking into the first team at a young age. He recently spoke with former teammate Rio Ferdinand about 15-year-old JJ Gabriel, who is already training with the senior side.

Giggs compared Gabriel's training demeanor to that of Wayne Rooney, stating, "That sounds like Wayne, doesn't it? Just give me the ball, give me the ball." Rooney broke into the senior Everton side at 16 and went on to become a record goalscorer and legend at Old Trafford.

Giggs emphasized Gabriel's need to play regularly, stating, "You need to play games and it's difficult because if you're in squads for the first team, you're not going to sort of turn that down. But also you need minutes on the pitch." He further added, "But he's at the best club because the history of young players coming through and how they're looked after."

Giggs was against loaning Gabriel out for development, believing that it would hinder his progress. He stated, "There's no point in going out on loan because he's at the best place and he'd be dipping in and out of the first team." Instead, he urged patience, predicting that Gabriel will make his senior debut "soon" as a regular player, possibly within a month, a year, or six months.
