The annual 2026 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Grand Finale is currently taking place at the University of Ghana's Legon auditorium, with three schools competing fiercely for the prestigious championship trophy. The participating institutions are the eight-time champions, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon), the two-time champions, St Augustine’s College (AUGUSCO), and the first-time finalists, Accra Academy.

Each of these schools brings its own unique history and aspirations to the final showdown. PRESEC-Legon is determined to add a ninth trophy to their impressive collection, while AUGUSCO is aiming for its third NSMQ title. For Accra Academy, clinching the championship would mark the school's first-ever Grand Finale victory, completing a historic run for the institution.
