PAK pacer Razaullah had no passport during Test call-up, then dismissed Root on debut

Pakistan's young fast bowler Razaullah made his Test debut just nine days after being called up to the squad, without a valid passport, and dismissed England's Joe Root on his first over. The 21-year-old from Mardan, Peshawar, joined the PCB's squad after being dismissed from the Test series in England following two successive losses.

Despite the lack of a passport, the PCB expedited the process for Razaullah, who was initially overlooked for selection due to his lack of senior cricket experience. After impressing the Pakistan Cricket Board's high-performance director Aaqib Javed during a training session at the National Cricket Academy, Razaullah was selected for a fast-bowling camp in late August.

His debut performance, bowling three successive deliveries to dismiss Root, provided a glimmer of hope for Pakistan amidst the otherwise disappointing tour.
