‘P-Valley’ to End With Season 3 as Starz Locks December Premiere

The popular drama series "P-Valley" has been renewed for its final season, concluding after a successful run on Starz. The show, created and executive produced by Katori Hall, will return on December 4, marking the end of a journey that began more than four years ago with Season 2. In a letter to fans, Hall expressed that it was time for the strippers to "hang up her heels," stating that she was grateful to have the opportunity to end the series on her own terms.

Katori Hall, the creator and executive producer, described the show's ending as "grace, grit and glitter," ensuring that the farewell to "P-Valley" would be a fitting tribute to the experience. Kathryn Busby, president of Original Programming for Starz, praised the show for its "courageously bold, powerfully provocative, and deeply inclusive storytelling," and expressed gratitude to the cast and crew for their contributions to the series.

The upcoming season will consist of nine episodes, down from the previous 10-episode format. Despite facing several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the SAG and WGA strikes, "P-Valley" Season 2 managed to maintain a strong viewership of nearly 10.3 million viewers across various platforms domestically. The series is based on Hall's play "Pussy Valley" and tells the story of life in the fictional town of Chucalissa, where the lives of the strip club community intertwine in a captivating and provocative narrative.
