Nordovest, bando interregionale da 3 milioni per l’industria energetica

A total of three million euros has been allocated to support the energy industry in Nordovest, a three-region area comprising Liguria, Lombardia, and Piemonte. This interregional initiative is the first of its kind and was announced during the Nordovest Economic Room, where representatives from the three regions, along with institutions and industry stakeholders, gathered in Genoa.

The funds will be used to support a variety of tools aimed at guiding technologies from research to industrial application. The bidders can participate in interregional partnerships consisting of between five and eight entities, each including at least one large company, one small to medium-sized enterprise, and one research institution from the three regions.

The objective behind the funding is to foster the creation of value chains, connecting the strengths of large companies, the innovation capacity of SMEs, and the knowledge base of research organizations.

The launch of the biddings is seen as a concrete manifestation of the Nordovest Economic Room, launched by the three regions in 2023. This initiative stems from the belief that by working together on strategic areas, such as the energy industry, while setting aside regional rivalries and collaborating on a sector-wide basis, the regions can enhance their competitiveness on the international stage.

The three energy ministers - Paolo Ripamonti (Liguria), Massimo Sertori (Lombardia), and Matteo Marnati (Piemonte) - emphasized that strengthening the energy sector will create new opportunities for businesses and aid in the development of strategic technologies for the future.
