NDC opens nominations for 2026 constituency executive elections

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced September 15, 2026, as the opening date for nominations for its 2026 Constituency Executive Elections. The party's statement, signed by Deputy General Secretary Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, marks a crucial stage in its internal electoral process. The NDC urges all members interested in contesting various constituency executive positions to participate in the nomination window within the specified timeframe.

All nomination-related payments must be made exclusively through the party's online portal, forms.ghanandc.com, utilizing mobile money across all networks. Aspirants, proposers, seconders, and endorsers must be members in good standing with fully settled membership dues for the past four years. Those with outstanding dues are directed to pay their arrears via 920 25# or the party’s official dues platform.

The NDC has also inaugurated campaign activities for the 2026 internal elections at the constituency, regional, and national levels. Party officials, comprising regional and constituency officers and ward coordinators, are instructed to allow all eligible aspirants to campaign within their respective jurisdictions. However, the campaign window does not extend to individuals seeking or intending to seek parliamentary positions, including sitting Members of Parliament and those considering or expressing an intention to contest parliamentary elections.

The National Secretariat emphasizes that any violation of this directive will be taken seriously and addressed per the party’s rules and regulations.

Furthermore, the NDC calls upon all constituencies, aspirants, and members to maintain discipline, decorum, and respect for the party’s democratic values throughout the electoral process. The party expresses confidence in the cooperation of its members and constituencies to ensure a transparent, peaceful, orderly, and successful election.
