Musk’s Boring Company Raises $3 Billion for Dubai Loop Transportation Network

Elon Musk's Boring Company has raised $3 billion for an underground transportation network in Dubai, Las Vegas, and Nashville. The company, founded in 2016 by Musk to alleviate LA traffic congestion, aims to build tunnels beneath cities rather than building upwards or outwards.

The recent $3 billion funding round, led by the United Arab Emirates and other prominent investors, values Boring Company at $23 billion, a fourfold increase from its $5.7 billion valuation in 2022. The capital will be used to expand the Dubai Loop project across the UAE, adding over 150 km of underground infrastructure. The company's Las Vegas Loop, featuring electric vehicle transportation, is currently operational.

Boring Company plans to hire more staff and continue expanding the tunnel network across cities.
