Doha, Qatar - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar has enhanced the preparedness of its educational personnel for the introduction of the "Rawda 1" (Kindergarten 1) stage, as part of a strategic initiative to enlarge government kindergarten capacities and boost early childhood education access.
To achieve this, the Ministry's Training and Development Centre collaborated with the Early Childhood Education Department to conduct an extensive series of training sessions for staff working with Rawda 1 children. The program aims to provide teachers and support staff with the requisite knowledge and abilities to deliver top-tier education and care tailored to the developmental needs of three-year-olds.

The intensive training program kicked off last week, preceding the commencement of the new academic year. To ensure comprehensive preparation, the attendance of Rawda 1 children was delayed until this week.
A total of 72 female trainees participated in the program. Out of these, 52 participants successfully completed the 50-hour training course, while 20 English-language coordinators and teachers received specialized 10-hour training.
The curriculum encompassed 10 specialized workshops focusing on the health, educational, developmental, and pedagogical aspects of caring for Rawda 1 children. The inaugural workshop, "Their Health and Safety First," led by the Training Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, imparted essential first-aid techniques and methods for maintaining a secure and healthy environment.
The subsequent workshop, "Comprehensive and Integrated Care," conducted by trainers from the Training and Development Department, delved into the rights of three-year-olds and best practices for delivering integrated care, covering aspects like proper nutrition, mental health, safe play, and protection from harm, all aimed at fostering healthy and balanced development in young children.
