MAKAF promises electric car incentive for Asian Games karate gold

The Malaysia Karate Federation (MAKAF) has announced an electric car incentive for its national karate squad if any athletes win gold at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. MAKAF president Datuk Nur Azmi Ahmad revealed that the Proton e.MAS car is a reward to motivate athletes striving for gold at Asia's largest multi-sport event. Although the national contingent's overall target may be modest, a single gold medal is deemed significant.

If a karate athlete wins gold, they will receive the car, according to Nur Azmi. The karate team will send seven athletes to the Asian Games, with a target of at least one gold medal. This substantial reward for the athletes, regardless of the category of the medal won, is a significant boost to their morale ahead of the event in Japan.
