Lindor and Morel power the Mets to a 15-14 win over the Marlins

New York Mets secured a 15-14 victory over the Miami Marlins on Wednesday night, completing a series sweep. Francisco Lindor delivered a three-run homer and contributed a two-run shot, leading the Mets to a six-run seventh inning that solidified their lead. The Mets started strongly, leading 15-9 at one point before tightening the game.

Lindor's 18th homer of the season proved decisive, putting the Mets ahead to stay. Christopher Morel added a two-run homer, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. The Marlins fought back with Joe Mack's solo homer in the seventh and Owen Caissie's two-run single in the eighth, reducing the deficit to one run. Griffin Conine and Otto Lopez added a run-scoring double and a triple, respectively, for the Marlins.

Tobias Myers relieved Nate Lavender after a critical one-out single by Jake Marsee, who drove in three runs, and sealed the victory with his second save. Marsee had a solid outing, hitting a double and driving in two runs. The game lasted 3 hours and 38 minutes, with 20 hits for the Marlins and 20 for the Mets. Daniel Duarte (2-0) earned the win for the Marlins with one run allowed in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

The Mets will face the Yankees on Friday, while the Marlins and Dodgers have yet to name their starting pitchers for their respective series opener.
