Jimmy Kimmel responds to Anthropic researcher saying AI could kill us all by the end of the decade

Recently, Anthropic researcher has quit the company and warned that artificial intelligence could potentially wipe out humanity by the end of the decade. This alarming prediction was echoed, albeit unintentionally, by an Anthropic spokesperson. Jimmy Kimmel expressed his shock at the lack of widespread concern over the news. "You know I always thought these big companies were willing to destroy the planet for profit because it didn't affect them personally," Kimmel remarked.

"The end of all human life, that's pretty personal. That's about as personal as it gets. And I will say in times like these, that's when I'm very grateful we have a president who is on top of this stuff." A video clip of former President Trump casually dismissing a reporter's question about AI potentially turning on humanity added to the discussion.

Kimmel commented, "Maybe that's why he doesn't care about the future of the country: He knows we don't have one."
