Iran war won’t end until after crucial November elections, says Trump

US President Donald Trump has stated that the Iran war will conclude only after the November midterm elections, suggesting that oil prices will not decrease until then. Speaking at a Texas party convention, Trump claimed that Iran is "desperate to try and affect the election, so that we can get a nice weak group of people in there" and leave them with nuclear weapons.

The US leader faced declining poll numbers and pressure from his Republican Party to terminate the war with Iran. Although Trump's claim of the war ending post-election is not substantiated, the conflict has resulted in a severe drop in his approval ratings and prompted calls from some within his party to end the military operation.
