Introducing GitTrends AI v5.0: Real-Time GitHub Velocity & 1-Click MCP Discovery for Coding Agents

Traditional GitHub trending feeds fall short for AI engineers when working with AI coding agents like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Antigravity. These agents require real-time star velocity and native discovery capabilities that GitHub's native trending feed does not provide. GitTrends AI v5.0 addresses this gap by offering a Swiss editorial developer registry, real-time star velocity tracker, and automated intelligence engine.

The new version includes four editorial leaderboards: Agent Skills, MCP Servers, Ecosystem Marketplaces, and Star Velocity Radar. The dashboard categorizes the ecosystem into high-signal leaderboards, providing a more organized view of the coding agent landscape.

GitTrends AI v5.0 features a zero-overlap Swiss editorial UI with a clean, high-contrast aesthetic. The layout includes an independent ticker banner, frosted glass floating navbar, and instant search flyout with quick filter pills. The system runs automatically using scheduled GitHub Actions, with off-peak execution and self-healing API fallback to ensure continuous updates.

Open data access is provided through machine-readable JSON, a daily RSS 2.0 feed, and empirical ecosystem censuses. The tech stack consists of Vanilla JS, Swiss Minimalist CSS, Python 3.12, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) TypeScript SDK.
