India beat Pakistan 19-0 in 2026 Women's Hockey Junior Asia Cup

In the quarter-final match of the 2026 Women’s Hockey Junior Asia Cup held in Mogi, China, India's junior women’s hockey team delivered an impressive performance, leaving Pakistan in their dust with a resounding 19-0 victory. Coached by Tim White, India displayed strong control from the outset, managing to score the first goal just seven minutes into the game courtesy of Puja Sahoo.

The Indian team continued to dominate, registering a staggering ten goals in the first half of the match, and continued their relentless assault on the Pakistani defense, adding nine more goals by the final quarter. The scoring spree saw Pooja Malik notch up a hat-trick, while Roshni Aind, Sanika Chandrakant Mane, Madhu Sidar, and Supriya each contributed two goals each to the Indian tally.

Pakistan's response was notably absent, struggling to mount any meaningful challenge against their formidable rivals. This emphatic win propelled India into the semifinals of the Women’s Junior Asia Cup, keeping hopes alive for a historic three-peat. The Women in Blue have previously clinched the tournament in 2023 and 2024.

The attacking prowess of India continued to shine, with the team repeatedly breaking through Pakistan's defense. As the defending champions, India will now await the outcome of the quarterfinal clash between South Korea and Malaysia. The victor will face India in the subsequent round.
