Hanuman Ansh box office day 34: Neem Karoli Baba film makes 90x on investment, earns Rs 180 cr

The devotional drama Hanuman Ansh, based on the life of Neem Karoli Baba, continues to thrive at the box office after nearly five weeks of theatrical run. Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi and starring Shobinaw Satyaa, the film has made an impressive 90 times its initial investment of Rs 2 crore in just 34 days. According to Sacnilk, the movie has earned Rs 180.95 crore at the box office, with a total net collection of Rs 153.13 crore in India.

The film's momentum picked up in the third week, and its highest earning day was the fifth Sunday, when it earned Rs 22.75 crore. Despite some stiff competition from Mirzapur The Movie, Hanuman Ansh managed to hold its own, earning Rs 12.30 crore on Wednesday, the same day Pankaj Tripathi's film released.

The movie has seen varying occupancy rates across different cities. Bhopal led with an occupancy of 60.5 percent in 62 shows, while Lucknow and Jaipur followed with 55.8 percent and 52.5 percent occupancy, respectively. Mumbai and Delhi-NCR registered 25.5 percent and 45.3 percent occupancy, respectively, with 597 and 1024 shows.

Hanuman Ansh began with a modest release on August 7, showing in just over 300 theaters. However, it started to gather decent collections from the third week onwards. Currently, it remains a strong contender against other releases like Batwara 1947, Awarapan 2, and the upcoming Akshay Kumar-Saif Ali Khan-starrer Haiwaan.
