‘God doesn’t give people money’ – Daddy Freeze

Nigerian social media figure Daddy Freeze has claimed that individuals do not need to worship or serve God to accumulate wealth. This statement came during an Instagram Live session on Wednesday evening, in response to remarks made by Peller at Pastor Tobi Adegboyega's church in the United Kingdom. According to the DAILY POST, Peller had explained that while others were praying at night, he was resting at home, yet God still blessed him.

In reaction to Peller's comment, Freeze argued that financial success is not inherently tied to one's religious beliefs. He noted that people do not have to believe in God to become rich, while also questioning why many devout Christians remain among the poorest. Freeze stated, "When you try to connect worshipping God to possession, you take for granted the sacrifice of the biblical Stephen, when you believe that if you pray to God, He gives you money."

He criticized the notion that if one prays to God, they will receive money, labeling it "the stupidity of our parents." Freeze further emphasized that as long as people attribute wealth to God, they will remain impoverished and broke. He argued that money is created by generating value, and one can remain rich regardless of their belief in God's existence.

"You can wake up everyday and say, I hate God, I hate God, I hate God, and still be rich," he added.
