Everything New You Can Do With Siri AI
When iOS 27 arrives, it will bring with it a fully revamped assistant for your iPhone.
Apple's newest iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 18 Pro, and iPhone Duo, now feature a revamped version of Siri called Siri AI. This upgraded AI assistant brings a range of new capabilities designed to make interaction with your iPhone more personalized and convenient.
To begin with, Siri AI takes the time to index all the data on your device, including texts, emails, calendars, and stored files. This indexing allows for more natural and contextual questions to be asked, such as "What day is my work appraisal happening?" or "Where did I say I'd meet Mom?" The assistant can provide informed answers based on the information already stored on your device, making it effective for photos and videos as well.
Siri AI is also adept at understanding what you're viewing on your iPhone screen. If you're browsing the web in Safari, you can ask Siri AI to summarize the text or identify landmarks in images. The same visual processing is available through the Camera app, where you can ask Siri AI to provide nutritional information about an item on a menu or other relevant details.
Another significant upgrade is the ability to write and edit text using Siri AI. No longer reliant on third-party chat plugins, Siri AI can generate text for messages, emails, and more. You can instruct Siri AI to adjust the tone, expand or shorten sections, or transform quick notes into full paragraphs. All changes are reviewed and editable, allowing for a seamless editing process.
Siri AI extends its capabilities beyond simple queries, now able to perform actions within apps. You can create calendar events, switch playlists, and perform other tasks using voice commands or text. This level of interaction is more natural and intuitive, as if you were conversing with a human assistant.
The Siri AI app, available on all supported devices, allows you to access your conversation history and sync your requests across Apple devices. With "broad world knowledge," Siri AI can provide more comprehensive answers to queries about history, technical fixes, and other topics. Additionally, the app offers customizable options for tone, speed, and expressivity of Siri AI's responses, enabling you to tailor the assistant's personality and voice to your preferences. These customizations are exclusive to the most powerful iPhone models.
