Vicky Kaushal, known for his work in films and shows, shared a relatable experience with his Instagram followers. In a Baatcheet with Yuvaa podcast, the Masaan actor confessed that he sometimes posts reels without hesitation, only to later regret them and wish they could be deleted. He explained that he often falls into the 'cute might delete later' trend, which leads to those reels remaining on his profile and making him cringe.

Despite having around 21 million followers, Kaushal admitted that a viral reel he didn't predict would receive attention makes him feel vulnerable and cringed out. He shared that the feeling of wanting attention, only to feel embarrassed by the sudden influx of views, is a common experience among social media users. Dr Abhinit Kumar, a psychiatrist at ShardaCare-Healthcity, provided further insight into why this happens.

He explained that the initial excitement of sharing something may give way to discomfort when one observes the post objectively, imagining how others might perceive them. For individuals who are more self-conscious, perfectionistic, or worried about being judged, this feeling can be more pronounced. Dr Kumar also pointed out that the difference between wanting people to see something and wanting everyone to see it can be significant.

When a post reaches thousands or millions of people, the sense of exposure and vulnerability intensifies. While anyone might feel this way, celebrities like Kaushal, who are already accustomed to public scrutiny, may still experience cringed out moments due to their image being tied to their career. The pressure on celebrities is greater because they are more susceptible to public opinion affecting their career.
