El Gran Premio de España pone a Europa en el centro de la Fórmula 1

Italy has emphasized the industrial, technological, and cultural weight of the Motor Valley and Europe's role in Formula 1's global strategy. The Italian Embassy in Madrid convened Stefano Domenicali, Jos� Vicente de los Mozos, and representatives from prominent Italian automotive companies for an event titled "From Italy to Madrid."

This gathering aimed to highlight the passion for Formula 1, technological excellence, and cultural significance of the Motor Valley. Attendees included the President and CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali, the President of IFEMA Madrid, Jos� Vicente de los Mozos, and representatives from Ferrari, Pirelli, Marelli, and Pininfarina.

Italian Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi welcomed the guests, noting the strong economic ties between Italy and Spain, with 71 billion euros in bilateral trade in 2025. He also highlighted Spain's position as the third European country and fourth globally in bilateral trade with Italy. Jos� Vicente de los Mozos emphasized the symbolic nature of the event, taking place ahead of Formula 1's return to Madrid after 45 years.

He praised the event for capturing the essence of Formula 1, promising a fun, technical, and emotionally engaging experience. Domenicali underscored the global reach of the championship, noting that only a few fortunate individuals witness a Grand Prix up close, but millions follow the sport worldwide. He positioned the event in Madrid as a testament to Europe's continued central role in Formula 1's international strategy.

Domenicali noted that when the project was first discussed, the goal was to demonstrate Europe's continued centrality to Formula 1, challenging those who argued that international expansion would detract from European growth.
