DK’s 100 days as CM: Siddu throws weight behind

Former Congress leader Siddaramaiah praised Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's administration for successfully completing its 100-day tenure, stating that the government is moving "in the right direction." Siddaramaiah commended the Congress party's guarantee schemes and the ongoing efforts to implement new programs for the people. He expressed confidence in the government's path, highlighting the significant investments made towards guarantee schemes over the past three years, amounting to Rs 1.45 lakh crore.

Siddaramaiah urged the administration to stay committed to the welfare programs, dismissing opposition criticism, and emphasizing the schemes' role in alleviating inequality. The Congress member recalled the initial skepticism from the opposition and the Prime Minister regarding the feasibility of the guarantee schemes, asserting that the Congress government successfully executed all five within the first year, despite the state's substantial expenditure.

Siddaramaiah also acknowledged Shivakumar's initiative to establish a Praja Seva department, cautioning the government against bureaucratic overreach.
