BTS' 'ARIRANG' tour tops ticket scalping reports over past year

Over the past year, BTS' ARIRANG world tour has topped the list of concerts most frequently reported for illegal ticket sales in Korea, according to data released by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) on Thursday. The Korean lawmaker responsible for the information, Rep. Jeong Jun-ho, stated that the tour, which drew 102 reports to KOCCA's online board between September 2025 and August 27, 2026, had the highest number of reports for any event.

Psy's standalone concerts were second on the list, with 88 reports, followed by BIGBANG's concerts with 69, Lim Young-woong's with 64, Day6's with 51, British band Oasis with 48, and The Weeknd's with 44 reports. These figures, while significant, may only represent a small portion of the actual damage caused by ticket scalping, according to Jeong.

For instance, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism found 1,868 online posts suspected of illegal ticket sales for BTS shows, a number that is over 18 times higher than the 102 reports submitted to KOCCA. KOCCA had logged 7,639 scalping reports from January 2023 up until the end of the most recent reporting period. Music concerts accounted for the majority of these reports, indicating the extent of the problem.
