Ashanti Region Holds Key To NPP 2028 Victory – Kodua Frimpong

Kodua Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has emphasized the importance of the Ashanti Region in securing the party's victory in the 2028 elections. The newly elected regional executives of the party, led by Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, have been tasked with the responsibility of boosting the NPP's performance in the upcoming polls.

Mr. Frimpong stated that the NPP leadership anticipates the party to secure more than 1.5 million votes in the presidential elections to ensure Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's victory. The Ashanti Region, historically a strong base for the NPP, is expected to play a pivotal role in the party's quest for political power. Mr. Frimpong lamented the NPP's declining performance in the last two elections in the Ashanti Region and urged the newly elected executives to reverse the trend.

He charged them to work tirelessly to maximize votes for the party's presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia, and parliamentary candidates. The Ashanti Regional NPP executives, he said, have the backing of the party and the people in the region, and he is confident they will leverage this support to win more votes for the NPP in 2028.
