AADK cadang ujian urin kru penerbangan sebulan sekali

Agensi Antidadah Kebangsaan (AADK) is proposing more frequent drug testing for flight crew and pilots, at least once a month. This initiative aims to strengthen efforts to prevent drug abuse in the aviation sector. AADK Deputy Director Ruslin Jusoh stated that this proposal will be discussed through strengthened cooperation between AADK and Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), including through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) expected to be signed next month.

The airline industry has previously collaborated, but this time, the frequency of testing is proposed to be increased to once a month. If necessary, the testing frequency may be shortened for specific cases. MAG currently has a hospital and clinic staffed by trained doctors to conduct urine tests, but AADK believes that conducting tests more frequently is an additional precautionary measure.

The screening process for flight crew is expected to be completed by September 15, and so far, all tested flight crew have tested negative. Over 1,000 flight crew have been involved in the screening process. AADK and MAG are currently finalizing the draft MoU, with hopes of signing it in October.
