A.J. Brown questionable to return with an ankle injury

Patriots receiver A.J. Brown is facing uncertainty over his return to the game due to an ankle injury. Early in the third quarter, Brown took a spill after a third-down incompletion. The ball, thrown by Drake Maye, found its way into the arms of Seahawks cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett, who ended up landing awkwardly on Brown's lower leg/ankle area while attempting to break up the pass.

After staying down momentarily, Brown then limped off the field and entered the sideline medical tent for further evaluation. At this point, Brown had already made three catches for 26 yards on four targets during his Patriots debut. Tight end Hunter Henry had also been rushed to the sideline tent earlier in the quarter due to a possible concussion after being hit hard and his head striking the turf on a reception.

However, Henry was later cleared and returned to the field later in the same drive. The Patriots managed to add a field goal from Andy Borregales on their first possession of the second half, following a roughing the punter penalty that brought them back onto the field. Borregales connected on a 50-yard attempt, giving the visiting team a 10-0 lead.

As of update at 10:12 p.m. ET, Brown has been taken out of the sideline and is now heading to the locker room for further assessment, with reports indicating that he is undergoing X-rays on his injured ankle.
