2027: ‘Kebbi ADC campaign is mere distraction’ — State govt

The Kebbi State Government has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) campaign in the region as a "mere distraction" from the developmental initiatives being carried out by the administration. This claim came shortly after the ADC organized a press conference to launch its 2027 governorship campaign in Birnin Kebbi. Abdullahi Zuru, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, made this statement.

Zuru also discredited the opposition party's assertions regarding healthcare, education, and security, labeling them as false.

He emphasized the state's advancements in security, attributing the improvements to the government's continuous provision of logistics and welfare for security personnel. Zuru highlighted instances where security forces successfully rescued kidnapped individuals and thwarted multiple attacks, despite the opposition's attempts to overlook these accomplishments.

He accused the opposition of concealing the truth and making claims that were intended to garner political favor. This response was prompted by the ADC's announcement of its governorship candidate, Abubakar Chika Malami, who presented a plan to enhance various sectors, including healthcare, education, and security, should the ADC secure the gubernatorial position.
