11 kawasan catat IPU tak sihat petang ini

11 locations in Malaysia recorded as unhealthy air quality this evening, according to the Index for Air Pollution (IPU) monitoring. Eight of these sites are in Sarawak, while three are in Peninsular Malaysia. The unhealthy levels were recorded at IPD Serian (183), Sarikei (182), Samarahan (176), Kuching (175), Samalaju (165), Sri Aman (157), Sibu (155), and Mukah (154) in Sarawak.

In Peninsular Malaysia, Larkin (119) and Pasir Gudang (112) in Johor, as well as Batu Muda in Kuala Lumpur, also reported unhealthy IPU readings. Overall, 52 locations across the country are in the good air quality range, while five are in the satisfactory range, with zero for the very unhealthy and hazardous categories. The National Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warnings for almost the entire country until 9pm tonight.

These weather conditions are expected to affect nearly all states, including Perlis, Penang, Langkawi, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, Bandar Baharu, Kuala Muda in Kedah. Similar warnings have been issued for Larut Matang, Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Hulu Perak, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, Muallim, and Kerian in Perak, while Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, and Machang in Perak, as well as Dungun, Hulu Terengganu, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, and Marang in Terengganu, also face poor weather conditions.
