UMB, 3TREES launch paint outlets across constituencies ahead of Ghana’s 70th anniversary

Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) and 3TREES Ghana have joined forces to launch a paint discount scheme in the lead-up to Ghana's 70th independence anniversary. As part of the Brighten Ghana Initiative, the banks aim to establish sales outlets in every constituency across the country. The discounts, ranging from 35 per cent to 55 per cent, will be applied to exterior all-weather paints, meeting approved specifications.

The promotional period spans from October 1, 2026 to March 30, 2027, coinciding with Ghana's national celebration on March 6, 2027. The scheme targets various groups, including individuals, businesses, schools, and community organizations working on painting and building maintenance projects. Members of Parliament are expected to play a supporting role in the initiative's implementation, helping to establish outlets in their respective constituencies.

The network aims to make these products more accessible to communities, fostering local trade and employment opportunities. While the outlets are still in a planning stage, UMB is set to act as the initiative's Official Banking Partner and Settlement Bank. UMB's Managing Director and CEO, Dr. Philip Oti-Mensah, emphasized the bank's commitment to national development beyond its core banking services.

This collaboration aligns with the efforts to maintain and enhance the appearance of residential, commercial, and community buildings as Ghana prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary. The discounts offered will vary based on the specific products and approved specifications, while the availability of local sales outlets will depend on the progress of the constituency rollout.
