U-20 WWC: We are ready to redeem ourselves against South Korea – Black Princesses coach Charles Sampson

Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson is confident his team is ready to redeem themselves after a disappointing opening match against Ecuador at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The Ghanaian squad suffered a 3-0 loss to Ecuador, which left both players and the coaching staff frustrated. However, Sampson believes the team has overcome their shock from the first game and is now focused on showing improvement.

"The girls have overcome the last game shock and the emotions in it, so now it looks like we are ready to go," he stated. The coach acknowledged that the performance against Ecuador was unusual, with many aspects of the team's game failing to work as expected. Despite this, Sampson is optimistic about his team's ability to handle the challenge.

"As a team and the sort of character we have in here, this is a challenge we will handle well," he said. The Black Princesses will be aiming for a much-improved display as they look to secure their first points of the tournament against South Korea.
