Titus Glover should step aside for younger candidates in NPP organiser race – Ali Maiga

Ali Maiga Halidu, a National Organiser hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that former Tema East MP and Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, is his primary competitor in the party's National Organiser race. Maiga maintains that their contest is essentially a two-person battle between himself and Glover, who is vying for the position for the second time.

Speaking on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen, Maiga stated that while both candidates have been MPs before, he believes Glover should step aside for younger party members to assume the responsibility of rebuilding the NPP and preparing it for the 2028 elections. Maiga highlighted the significant age gap between the two candidates, asserting that his youth gives him a competitive edge in the arduous task of grassroots mobilization across the nation.

He pointed out that Glover has already held various high-ranking public positions, including minister and CEO roles, and suggested that the former MP should provide other party members with opportunities to serve. Maiga's primary motivation for contesting the race is to inject new energy into the NPP's mobilization efforts and help the party reclaim power in the 2028 elections.
