Tijjani Reijnders double inspires Al Qadsiah as Ivan Toney and Al Ahli implode in five-goal thriller

Al Qadsiah moved into second place in the Saudi Pro League after a 3-2 victory over Al Ahli in Damman on Tuesday. The match resembled a similar clash from March, with Qadsiah matching Al Ahli's score. New signing Tijjani Reijnders, on loan from Manchester City, was the standout player, scoring twice. Al Ahli's Ivan Toney and Mohammed Abdulrahman argued with each other and had to be restrained by the referee at full-time.

Al Ahli's manager, Marino Pusic, downplayed the player disputes, suggesting they reflect the team's performance and could foster team spirit. Reijnders opened the scoring in the 14th minute and added another in the third minute of stoppage time. Mohammed Abu Al Shamat scored Qadsiah's second goal in first-half stoppage time and his third in the third minute of stoppage time.

Al Ahli equalized in the 63rd minute through Toney, and scored again in the 82nd minute to complete a 5-2 win. Qadsiah, who have won five out of six matches so far, are now level on points with leaders Al Hilal and only second on goal difference.
