The Bluebird hoping to fly high in Welsh rugby

Amy Williams' talent in rugby was discovered at Coleg Gwent, where she played alongside Cardiff City Women's team. The 21-year-old from Pontypool made her international debut against a Barbarians side featuring world-class athletes and scored two tries, marking a memorable moment in her career. Prior to her rugby career, Williams played football and credits former Dragons flanker Scott Matthews for encouraging her to pursue rugby instead of both sports.

On her first appearance for Wales, Williams lined up against Ruby Tui, a renowned rugby player. The Welsh team selected eight uncapped players for the WXV squad, including Williams, who participated in Tests against South Africa, USA, and Japan. Despite the competitive environment, Williams remains focused on earning her first senior cap, looking forward to Wales' WXV Global Series games against South Africa and USA, followed by a trip to Japan.
