Thai King, Queen renew Boeing 737 pilot qualifications

Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida have successfully renewed their Boeing 737 pilot qualifications after passing the required proficiency checks mandated by Thailand's Civil Aviation Authority. The airmen underwent the necessary assessments in accordance with CAAT Regulation No.45, which governs the issuance and recording of pilot licenses and ratings.

The renewed certifications cover Boeing 737-300 to 900 models, Instrument Rating, and authorization for Performance-Based Navigation (PBN) operations. King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida have been known to fly together on royal engagements, with the monarch serving as the first pilot and the queen as co-pilot on several international trips, including their visit to Bhutan earlier this year.
