‘SPCA needs to investigate’: Mixed reactions as Grace Mondlana shares how her puppy died

Content creator Grace Mondlana announced the death of her second puppy, Bella, in a video posted to her Instagram Stories. Mondlana explained that Bella had been experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea shortly after she brought her home. Initially, she attributed these symptoms to the puppy phase, similar to what she had experienced with her previous puppy, Kai.

However, Mondlana noted that Bella's symptoms persisted for several weeks, leading her to take her to a vet. Despite spending a significant amount of money on medication, the vet's recommendations and Bella's declining condition became increasingly concerning. Mondlana ultimately decided to take Bella to the SPCA after struggling to care for the puppy while recovering from an injury.

Upon arriving at the SPCA, she was informed that Bella's condition had deteriorated to a point where it was deemed animal cruelty, as her internal bleeding was causing her pain. The SPCA staff informed Mondlana that Bella could not be taken elsewhere and had to be euthanised. The video of Mondlana's declaration has garnered mixed reactions on social media.

While some users expressed sympathy for her loss, others accused her of seeking attention through the tragedy.
