Six civil servants, five agents remanded over alleged falsified documents for illegal vehicle ownership transfers

IPOH, Sept 9 — Eleven individuals, comprising six civil servants and five agents, have been remanded for a period of six days to aid investigations into the alleged submission of falsified documents for illegal vehicle ownership transfers. These transfers involved 16 unique registration numbers. Magistrate Norizan Riduan granted the remand application, which will remain in effect until Sept 14 at the Magistrate’s Court in the city.

The suspects, a mix of seven men and four women, arrived at the court around 9.15am on the same day. According to a source, the Perak Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) apprehended them at approximately 10pm the previous evening, when they visited the MACC Perak office to provide statements. The source revealed that initial investigations uncovered the alleged offense as occurring in 2025.

The agents are accused of conspiring with civil servants to submit forged documents, enabling the unlawful transfer of vehicle ownership. These documents were submitted to the Road Transport Department (JPJ) as part of the ownership transfer procedure.
