SF parliamentary team to meet before new Dáil term

Sinn Féin is set to convene its parliamentary team in Dublin ahead of the new Dáil term to determine its key objectives. The party aims to advocate for a budget that better supports workers and families, as they argue prices are spiralling uncontrollably and people are becoming worse off under the current government. They propose a plan to reintroduce money into the pockets of workers and families, which includes abolishing the USC on the first €40,000 earned, removing the carbon tax on home heating oil, and reinstating energy credits during the winter.

As the Dáil is about to resume, Sinn Féin has committed to collaborating with other opposition parties to present an alternative to the political stagnation of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael. Discussions will also encompass Irish unity and maintaining the Triple Lock. Next week, Sinn Féin's leaders, Michelle O’Neill and Mary Lou McDonald, will visit Cardiff to engage in talks with Scotland's First Minister, John Swinney from the SNP, and Plaid Cymru's leader, Rhun ap Iorwerth.

The party is confident that all parties involved in these discussions recognize the inherent right of nations to determine their own future.
