Seahawks All-Pro receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba says he won’t allow success to change him

Seattle Seahawks star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has stated that he will not allow his success to change him. The unanimous All-Pro, AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year and Super Bowl winner was made the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history by the Seahawks. Speaking on the AP’s "Football Unfiltered" podcast, Smith-Njigba said, "I try to not let it impact me as in who I am and my goals and who I want to be and my values and stuff like that."

He emphasized that the only things that may change are the media's attention, which he is accustomed to, and nothing more. Smith-Njigba also mentioned that he signed a contract this spring but would not let the financial gain alter his lifestyle. He reiterated his commitment to staying true to his values and plans, stating that his faith has always been a guiding force in his life.

The Seahawks' new offensive coordinator, Brian Fleury, takes over for Klint Kubiak, who moved to Las Vegas. Smith-Njigba is optimistic about the upcoming season, focusing on the process and growth over results.
