Sberbank brings its ‘Digital Mine’ to India

Sberbank is exhibiting its innovative Digital Mine at the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM in India, marking its debut at the event. The fair occurs for the first time before the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi from September 9 to 11.Sberbank's centerpiece display, the Digital Mine, draws inspiration from the historical significance of natural resources in Russia's wealth and shifts the focus towards intellectual assets and advanced technologies.

The exposition visually ties the cooperation between Russia and India by showcasing banking and business infrastructure as well as cutting-edge AI-driven solutions and computing technologies. A photonic chip encased within a mineral at the exhibit symbolizes the emergence of intelligence and technology as the new precious resource.The Digital Mine also presents Sberbank's financial services tailored for Russian-Indian businesses, including a rapid cross-border settlement service facilitating payments to India within minutes.

Additionally, guests can access a comprehensive range of tools for rupee transactions, encompassing accounts, deposits, letters of credit, bank guarantees, and more. The bank's Business Development arm provides comprehensive support to Russian enterprises in India, from identifying suppliers to finalizing their initial deals.Sberbank's technological showcase includes a cutting-edge universal optical computing unit designed for real-world AI tasks.

This device can perform over 1 billion matrix multiplication operations per second, with optical multiplication taking mere fractions of a nanosecond, while consuming less power than electronic counterparts. Long-term implications of this technology could lead to significant reductions in the costs associated with training and deploying large AI models, which is crucial for the advancement of artificial intelligence.

The company also presents GigaAgent, India's inaugural autonomous universal AI agent, capable of independently addressing various tasks such as managing calendars, handling documents, drafting correspondence, conducting research, and creating reports and presentations. Unlike typical chatbots, GigaAgent maintains context better, does not necessitate step-by-step supervision, incorporates and accumulates feedback, and adapts to individual user workflows.
